2. Right Skill RightTime Crisis Intervention

Whether in the community, workplace or home, understanding the four crisis levels and using the RSRT intervention will prevent greater problems and open up opportunities to get to the heart of the matter…quickly!

Most people are aware of the void that is created at that crucial turning point ……but don't know what to do about it. We are left with three options: avoid, do it well or do it poorly. Most people admit that in most cases they do it poorly. Even when we know how to do it well, when the stakes are high, opinions vary and emotions are peaked ..... we blow it.

Recognize crisis as it builds and use specific strategies to de-escalate the situation without over reacting and causing more problems. Using the right skill at the right time increases the chances of creating receptivity within the first few seconds of a potentially explosive situation.
Violence is almost always preceded by specific warning signs that can be identified quickly. Once identified, take appropriate action.

Learn how to apply the right skill at the right time to effectively transform a crisis or potential crisis into opportunity to explore, connect and find resolution.
